Amy Persson is the Executive Director of the Family and Community Services and Service Innovation Branch within the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC). The Branch helps drives the Government’s ambitious social policy agenda including work on domestic and family violence, child protection, Aboriginal Affairs, social housing and homelessness. It is also at the forefront of the Government’s commitment to new ways of working and contains the Office of Social Impact Investment (a joint unit with Treasury) and the Behavioural Insights Unit. 

Prior to this Amy was the Executive Director of the Cities Branch at DPC. Before joining DPC in 2012, Amy spent several years in London working for a major UK think tank driving policy development on national and international environmental and resource issues. 

From 2006 to 2009 Amy was a senior political adviser to a range of State Government Ministers. Amy is a lawyer by training.
