General Manager of Practice Leadership, Mission Australia
Marion is a policy professional, with a long career in central and line agencies of the New South Wales Government. As Executive Director of Housing Policy and Homelessness in the Department of Family and Community Services, Marion led negotiations of National Partnership Agreements on Homelessness (several iterations!), housing policy and research, and the Going Home Staying Home reforms of the homelessness system.
In 2015, Marion moved to the not-for-profit community sector as Head of Policy & Advocacy at Mission Australia, and is now General Manager of Practice Leadership there. Mission Australia works to reduce homelessness and strengthen communities across the country. In her current role, Marion and her team support service delivery staff and managers including through contract management, quality programs, business systems, learning communities, impact measurement, data analysis and service design and development.
