Matthew’s current role in DPC covers economic development policy and analysis of economic data and trends.  He led the process to develop South Australia’s first social impact bond to address homelessness (launched in February 2017).  His interests include making better use of government data for program evaluation, growth of the third sector and building capacity in the social economy.

 

Before joining the South Australian Government in 2000, Matthew lived and worked for a number of years across Asia in various trade and business development roles.

 

Matthew has sung with many choirs in Adelaide, including the Adelaide Chamber Singers and Adelaide Symphony Chorus, and is currently the Chair of Young Adelaide Voices.  He holds degrees in Architectural Studies, Chinese and Economics, and is a Fellow of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation.
