Dr Tom McClean
Head, Centre for Research, Innovation and Advocacy, Uniting
Tom McClean is Head of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Advocacy at Uniting. The Centre has contributed to Uniting’s work on a number of social impact innovations, including Newpin and Foyer51. It also develops outcomes frameworks, and conducts evaluations and research into Uniting’s services and the social conditions in which they work. Tom holds a PhD from the London School of Economics.
Prior to joining Uniting, he worked in the NSW Government, in roles involving investigations, policy evaluation and governance. He has held fellowships at the London School of Economics and worked as a researcher for the World Bank and in the finance industry in Sydney and London.
