Thursday 9 November, 9am - 5pm
Australian Technology Park, 2 Locomotive St Eveleigh, Sydney

I4G is a great opportunity for people, organisations, governments and investors to come together, learn about the social impact investment market, while also learning about each other.

The first of its kind in Australia, I4G aims to expose non-profit and social service organisations to changing trends in the funding landscape, and raise awareness about and promote participation in the social impact investment marketplace. It will also provide the amazing organisations in the community sector with the skills and networks to become investment ready.

The Conference

The Conference will be arranged around the following 3 streams:

  1. Sector Preparedness – how is the social services sector preparing for social impact investment and what more needs to be done?

  2. Government – an exploration of how the State and Federal Governments are addressing the rapid and diverse growth of social impact investment in Australia.

  3. The Future – an investigation into emerging trends and direction in the social impact investment market.

Each stream will include a combination of:

  • Case studies of innovative work being done in the Social Impact Investment space;

  • Panel discussions on key aspects of Social Impact Investment work; and

  • Different experiences of various stakeholders in the Social Impact Investment field to encourage new partnerships and improve understanding of different perspectives between stakeholders.

The Marketplace

The Investing for Good Marketplace, operating in tandem with the Conference, presents an opportunity for civil society organisations, investors and government to showcase their initiatives and to engage with each other around how to develop the impact investment ecosystem.

30 community sector, government and investor representatives will be invited to display at the expo, to share information with attendees in a more relaxed atmosphere than the formal Conference.

We’re also excited to announce the launch of the inaugural I4GPitch event in the lead up to the conference!

The I4GPitch on 8 November showcases and supports 6 outstanding social service organisations from urban and regional NSW, where there is scope to develop potential to attract social investment and scale impact.  Successful candidates will be awarded grant funding and capacity building support to explore pathways towards financial sustainability and plant the seed for future impact investment propositions.

The Pitches will be presented to an invited audience of 100 investors, philanthropists and sector leaders. A judging panel will select 2 initiatives to receive grant funding and capacity building support to process their impact investment proposal to investment readiness stage.
