Mara Bun is a Company Director and strategy consultant who works with people who share her optimism about a positive future, despite all evidence pointing to challenges ahead. Mara is a Director of the board of Enova Community Energy – Australia’s first community owned renewable energy retailer with headquarters in Byron Bay. She is President of the Australian Conservation Foundation, is a Director on the board of Australian Ethical Investments and is Chair of the Board of Gold Coast Waterways Authority. In addition to serving on boards, Mara leads strategy for Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre, a $150 million digital agrifood research hub, and leads strategy for Simba Global, the largest commercial linen provider in the Southern Hemisphere. Mara was born and raised in Sao Paulo Brazil, was educated in the US, and has called Australia home for 30 years. She loves living in Tallebudgera Valley in the Gold Coast hinterland. Mara’s previous executive career includes senior roles at CSIRO, Macquarie Bank, Choice, Green Cross Australia and Canstar.
