Kate started in the youth work field in 1999 studying a Diploma in Youth Work. This passion has seen her work primarily in youth drop in centres, organising youth early intervention and diversion programs and case management with homeless young people and young mothers across the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. She has a strong interest in studying the theoretical side of youth work and human behaviour and has a Bachelor of Community Welfare (Youth Work), Diploma of Aboriginal Studies and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology and is currently working on her thesis for an Advanced Graduate Diploma of Psychology. Kate's passions lie in strengthening access to services for young people, young mothers/families, mental health and empowering young people to achieve their goals.
