After 30 years of legal practice with some of Australia's largest law firms, Trevor Danos is now pursuing a career as a company director and a strategic and business advisor for a range of governments and private organisations.  As a lawyer, Trevor’s specialisation was in finance and major procurements.  Trevor is on the board of Northern Sydney Local Health District.  He is acting chair of the NSW Treasury Social Investment Expert Advisory Group and is a member of the Australia-New Zealand SKA Coordination Committee for the Square Kilometre Array telescope.  He was previously a director of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and TransGrid and was a member of the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Committee. He recently wrote and published “The Pursuit of Excellence: A History of the Professor Harry Messel International Science School”.  He is an Adjunct Professor at UNSW.  He was made a Member of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2014.
